Event Summary
Dear students,

Putra Graduate On Time (GOT), an offshoot of the Putra Sarjana Programme, is initiated by the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Its purpose is to create awareness among students and academics the importance of graduating within an achievable time period. The programme also aims to support postgraduate students’ research activities through a systematic learning programme.

GOT for Masters students is within 4 semesters of study, and 7 or 8 semesters for PhD students. Thus, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through its School of Graduate Studies (SGS), invites you to attend the following seminar:

Seminar Focus

The viva voce examination is where you will give a verbal defense of your thesis. Your thesis demonstrates your skills at presenting your research in writing while in the viva (in short for viva voce) examination, you will demonstrate your ability to participate in academic discussion with research colleagues. The process is to allow you to clarify the written thesis in response to the examiners' questions. A candidate is expected to demonstrate in person that they are fully acquainted with the material in the dissertation and show the thorough mastery and understanding of all issues pertaining to the selected topic. Dr. Dahlia and Dr. Amer will discuss the pre moment-of-truth and post viva voce process.

Details of participation fee for the above-mentioned seminar are as follows:



1. Free for UPM academicians and students

2. For Non-UPM students: RM50.00/seminar

3. For Non-UPM staff / professionals: RM100.00/seminar



*Payment can be made at the registration counter on the day of the event. Please bring exact amount of cash for payment.
