ARTICLE WRITING COMPETITION Dear all postgraduate students, Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad (PSAS), UPM in collaboration with SAGE is organizing young writer's award, a competition on the best article writing among UPM post graduate students.
The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to share their ideas widely and to further expand their skills in writing. The competition is also aim to assist UPM in elevating the spirit of writing among post graduate students. IMPORTANT DATES
Competition interval: 18th September - 23rd November 2015 (latest by 5.00 pm) Judge decision: 30th December 2015 Winner notification: 6th January 2015. Winners' names will be posted on our Winners List page. AWARD
SAGE will sponsor a total amount of USD$1,000. Five (5) awards will be given to the best five (5) articles selected by the judges and each will receive USD$200. THE HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME The Humanitarian Affairs Internship Programme offers a learning opportunity to students who are currently pursuing degrees at graduate or undergraduate levels to enhance their resume while working for a cause. Talented youth from diverse disciplines can become a part of this internship as a Global Event Associate to gain practical experience in various aspects of a social enterprise and event organisation.
The internship with Humanitarian Affairs at the Asia Secretariat requires time commitment for a period of 7 months to 11 months, beginning in the month of January every year. The organisation is on the lookout for individuals who have the right learning attitude, strong communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and those who are open to experiencing diverse work cultures.

LIBRARY INFORMATION LITERACY PROGRAMME FOR NEW POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS @ PERPUSTAKAAN SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD, UPM
To all new postgraduate students,
You are invited to attend the Library Information Literacy Programme which consists of classes on Information Search Strategies and use of Online Databases. The main objective of this program is to enable library clients to identify access and evaluate information from various sources effectively.
Students are encouraged to attend the modules in sequential order. (Please refer the following schedule).
1st module : Introduction to the Library 2nd module : Information Search Strategy 3rd module : Library Information Skill on Online Databases
