Vision
In line with UPM’s vision, SGS’s vision is to be a leading graduate school of international standing.
Mission
The mission of SGS is to ensure that we provide the best programmes which prepare students for the rigours of postgraduate study and the challenges of academia.
SGS also plans to be the leading School of Graduate Studies in Malaysia and in the region by providing a conducive academic environment and friendly customer services.
The aim of the programme by research is to produce knowledgeable and competent graduates through research in the relevant fields to meet the local and international (global) needs.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)
PEO1. to produce knowledgeable and competent graduates through research in the relevant fields to meet the local and global needs.
PEO2. to train students with scientific, critical thinking and practical skills leading towards innovative ideas and solutions to the real life problems in relevant fields.
PEO3. to inculcate students with legal, ethical and professional code of practice, effective communication and teamwork skills in conducting independent research as well as in their dealing with peers and stakeholders;
PEO4. to provide students with an academic environment to develop leadership qualities and practice life-long learning to prepare for their professional careers.
