October 26th 2023, SERDANG - The recipients of the Bantuan Yuran Siswazah Cemerlang (BYSC)/Financial Incentive for Excellent Graduates 2023 were cordially invited to the School of Graduate Studies (SGS UPM) for a session with the representatives from the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) and the Dean of SGS. Besides officially delivering the incentive offer to the first BYSC recipients, this session was also conducted in commemoration of WAZAN's efforts in providing fee incentives for postgraduate students.

Among the representatives during the session were Mr. Wan Mohd Radzi Wan Ismail (Head of Section for the Waqf Collection and Marketing) and Mr. Muhammad Faiz Mohd Shafie from WAZAN, Prof. Dr. Zalilah as the Dean of SGS, Prof. Dr. Hajah Firdaus Mukhtar as the Deputy Dean (Admissions, Institutional Relations, and Financial Aid Unit), and 5 BYSC recipients namely Muhammad Alif bin Azmi, Hasyiem Arif bin Musthapa Sha'adun, Nur Sabrina Firdausa binti Mohamed Mansor, Muhammad Firdaus bin Jamaluddin, and Muhammad Alif bin Zainaldin.

Bantuan Yuran Siswazah Cemerlang (BYSC) was introduced for the first time in the First Semester 2023/2024. Offered to students with outstanding academic records registered under Master by Coursework, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program structures, it is available to all clusters of study, whereby the tuition fees are partially sponsored by WAZAN.
