Oath-Taking Ceremony for New Postgraduate Students Semester 1, 2017/2018

September 26th, 2017 - witnessed 997 new postgraduate students for semester 1, 2017/2018 participating in the Oath-Taking ceremony at the Main Hall,  Pusat Kebudayaan Sultan Salahuddin Shah, UPM. Officiated by the YBhg. Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris, Vice Chancellor UPM, the new group comprised local and international students from more than 30 countries. Also in attendance were YBhg. Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Saripan, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), YBhg. Mr. Muzaffar Shah, Deputy Chief Librarian Sultan Abdul Samad, faculty deans, directors of institutes, Student Representative Council (MPP), UPM International Students’ Association (UPMISA) and Peer Support Group (PSG).

As needs mentioning, the aim of the declarative ceremony, among other things, is to enhance the bond and elevate the level of communication between the university management committee and the new postgraduate students.

Towards the close, deputy deans of the School of Graduate Studies gave briefings and clarifications on matters covering the following perspectives: Academic, Thesis, Student Affairs, Learning Support, Financial Assistance and Mobility.

The event started at 8.00 am and ended at noon.
