May 10^th 2023, Serdang - The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) has participated in the Mega Raya celebration that was conducted at the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) level. The programme that was conducted throughout the UPM campus are, elicited the involvement of all the departments that were divided into clusters, based on their location as well as centre facilities. SGS was one of the members of the G Cluster that comprises of 18 departments altogether, were placed at the UPM Banquet Hall. An estimated total of 700 visitors, made up of staff and students, joined the celebration in person.

Appointed as the Committee for Competitions, SGS handled the karaoke, the best booth, and the best dress (man and woman) competitions throughout the celebration. Each department’s thematic decorations made their station more appealing hence, added to the fun of celebrating Raya with their colleagues. SGS did not miss out their chance to serve delicious delicacies for its visitors such as Laksa Johor and murtabak. Out of the three (3) competitions, SGS through its representative, Mr. Muhammad Irfan, won the karaoke category with his song ‘Khalifah’.

YBhg. Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, the Vice Chancellor accompanied by the DVC (Academic & International), Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail graced the event by their attendance around 11 a.m. This is one of the University’s efforts in strengthening the bond among its workforce through heartfelt celebrations.
