SGS’s Effort in Strengthening Staff’s Basic Protocol and Social Etiquette Skills

July 5th, 2023, Serdang – The basic knowledge on towards civilisation is crucial in moulding an individual’s personality. The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is continuously concerned in its staff’s social etiquette skills exposure. This covers the speech manners, dressing, and dining etiquette when it comes to formal events.

SGS has invited Mr. Ludinata Misnun (Deputy Director, Centre of Entrepreneurial Development and Graduate Marketability) as the guest speaker for the Protocol and Social Etiquette Training for the non-academic staffs, that was held at L’Apperenti, UPM. The four (4) hours training has outlined several core details when it comes the appearance of a civil servant. Components such as dress colour, voice tone, dining etiquette and dress codes according to the event, were explained very thoroughly by Mr. Ludinata, who is also a professional image consultant.

The efficacy of the training were evaluated through an online quiz that was conducted before and after the session with Mr.Ludinata. The training participants were able to reflect on their own knowledge and freely ask relevant questions during the question-and-answer session. The training ended around 1.00 p.m. with the photography session with of Mr.Ludinata with the training attendees.
