June 14^th, 2023, Serdang – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has received a visit from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, (TETFund) through four (4) delegates, in the effort of enhancing the collaboration between both parties, in terms of sponsorship/ scholarship. TETFUND, is a scheme established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2011 to disburse, manage, and monitor education tax to government-owned tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The respective TETFund's delegates were as the following:

1. Mr Barr. Adamu Abubakar (Director,Academic Staff Training & Development)- Leader
2. Mr Mohammed, Garba Sabonsara (Assistant Director, Academic Staff Training & Development)
3. Mr Ibrahim Anas (Assistant Director, Academic Staff Training and Development)
4. Mrs Deborah Bedwom (Principal Legal Officer)

The meeting was held at the Meeting Room, Canselori Putra Building and led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), Prof Dr Ismi Ariff Ismail. Members who were present are as the following:

1. Prof. Dr. Hjh. Firdaus Mukhtar - SGS
2. Prof. Ts. Dr. Zuriati Ahmad Zulkarnain - SGS
3. Mr Mohd Nazri bin Md Yasin - Head of Administration for Academic and International
4. Ms Nur Nadjla Ahmad Razei - SGS
5. Mr Muhammad Akees Abu Mansor - SGS
6. Mr Mohamad Rizal Zamberi - Bursar
7. Ms Nurbalkis binti Khairul Pern – Bursar

The delegation’s visit was an effort to strengthen the UPM-TETFund collaboration through the establishment of MoU/MoA. The official document’s priority is to shed a better understanding on the following matters:

1. monitoring processes of TETFund scholars’academic progress,
2. refund processes/ procedures and,
3. possible tuition fees discounts initiatives.

The discussion came to an end around 12.30 afternoon with a photography session with the present members of the meeting.
