“Besides enabling them to donate basic items to the poor and needy, this programme also helps to foster closer ties between the community and university staff and students,” he said when launching the programme, themed “Beri atau Ambil Apa Sahaja!” organized by UPM’s Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail (KTDI) with the cooperation of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Culture and Arts Centre, the Registrar’s Office of Student Affairs Division (BHEP), UPM FreeShop, Information Development and Communication Centre (IDEC), Adi Karya Sdn Bhd and Pertubuhan Sahabat Alam Maya.

Also present at the event were Youth On Unity (Y.O.U) Chairman, Dato’ Nazifuddin Najib; UPM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni) Prof. Dato’ Mohammad Shatar Sabran and KTCI Principal, Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman.

Datuk Ahmad, meanwhile, said all forms of contributions were welcomed either in cash or kind, and recipients would be getting each and every item for free.
