UPM students represent Malaysia at Korat International Art and Culture Festival

THAILAND – Seven Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) students who are dancers of Kelab Senitari ADIMASTULI dan Residen Artis UPM, led by Nursyuhada Suaimi, were recently chosen to represent Malaysia to Thailand for the Korat International Art and Culture Festival 2016 at Nakhon Ratchasima.

Malaysia head of delegation, Adidi Tamin said the exchange of culture program was participated by representatives from more than 10 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Russia, China, Ghana, Nepal and Cambodia.

“Representatives from each country came up with brilliant performances that reflected the identity of their country and creativity. In addition, they were able to share some information about their customs and cultures to other participants,” he said.




He also said teachingn and learning of the finer points of dancing were also held at some places they visited, including the Sureenari Wittaya 2 School and Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabath University Art and Culture Department.

Besides putting up interesting dancing performances incluuding Zapin Ghalit, Joget Kereta Lembu and Inang Pulau Kampai, the UPM team also rendered a few songs. – UPM.
